Picture this: you turn on your heater, and things start buzzing into action. A magical thing happens within about 10 to 25 seconds – a valve opens up, and fuel starts spraying into this little chamber where all the action happens. Meanwhile, this electronic ignition coil is doing its thing, creating this crazy high voltage of about 8000 volts! Boom! A spark ignites the mix of fuel and air in that chamber, and suddenly, you’ve got fire!
But here’s the cool part: there’s this little flame sensor – photo resistor hanging out, keeping an eye on things. It spots the flame, and once it does, it tells the ignition coil to chill out on the high voltage. Now, the fire’s burning on its own – no more sparks needed. And just like that, your heater’s up and running, pumping out that cozy warmth we all love.
Key Components:
The Webasto Flame Sensor Photo Eye (Part #: WPX-638-78A), works on all Webasto Burner Heads and is a critical component responsible for detecting the presence of a flame within the combustion chamber.
Accompanying the Flame Sensor is the Combustion Chamber (Part #: WPX-265-53A), an essential element that plays a pivotal role in the combustion process. Engineered to withstand high temperatures and harsh operating conditions, the combustion chamber provides a stable environment for efficient fuel combustion.
Enhancing the functionality of the kit is the Photo Disc (Part #: WPX-453-048), a key component that aids in flame sensing and detection.
