Description

The Precision Circuits – Battery Isolator Manager 225Amp – 00-10041-250 is a microprocessor controlled battery management solution designed specifically for motorhomes and luxury coaches. This unit intelligently manages the connection between the chassis and coach battery systems, preventing unwanted battery drain while ensuring both systems receive proper charging.

Unlike traditional voltage based isolators, the BIM continuously monitors battery conditions over extended periods of time. When charging voltage is detected from the alternator, shore power, or solar, the BIM automatically connects both battery systems so they charge together. Once the batteries reach a stable charge state for approximately one hour, the BIM isolates them to prevent overcharging and battery damage.

This smart isolation logic eliminates relay chatter, protects against harmful equalization cycles, and prevents overcharging during long drives or extended campground stays. The BIM draws no current in either the ON or OFF state, making it ideal for solar equipped coaches and long term storage applications.

The 225 amp continuous duty rating supports high current motorhome electrical systems and serves as a direct OEM replacement for many manufacturers, including Newmar, Forest River, and other premium motorhome brands. The BIM is ignition protected, fully waterproof, and approved for installation in battery compartments, even in harsh environments.

An integrated emergency start function allows temporary battery combining through a dash mounted switch, providing added peace of mind when starting power is needed.

This unit replaces older Precision Circuits models including 00-10021-000 and is backward compatible with 160 amp BIM installations.

Operation:
The Battery Isolation Manager opens and connects the two 5/16” copper terminals by means of a sliding contact. Each time BIM changes ON/OFF state, the contact instantly switches. The BIM remains in the ON or OFF State, without coil power.
